Galway City Library - June Exhibition

The Irish Underwater Council presents the CFT Underwater Photography Group 2017 Exhibition. A number of contributors have taken part in this exhibition
“The purpose of the CFT Underwater Photography Group is to show and tell the type of pictures that divers are taking throughout the world. We encourage people of all levels to post their marine pictures, good or bad and to generate a conversation from which we all learn. If you want a picture to be strongly critiqued that just ask for it when posting. Otherwise, if you post a picture where the group can see ways for improvement, we will continue to give advice in a constructive manner. Those posting pictures are encouraged to tell us what type of camera set up and settings were used. Also please let us know how you took the shot if it’s something we can all learn from.”

Portumna Library Launch

Portumna Library
As part of the '2017 East Galway Library Art Trail', Bernard Dooley launches his show on the 3rd of May at 7pm.
Locally based artists are involved in the pioneering East Galway Art Trail, an innovative idea that is concerned with art awareness and library awareness, which has been taking place around the area at half a dozen different library locations.
Its objective is to bring art and artist into the community by using the space available in rural libraries.
These artists are working and living within local communities; by bringing both the artist and the libraries together, small communities can benefit from the enjoyment of art and engage with their library’s facilities.
All welcome
