Hi there Cinema lovers!
Thursday 3rd of March at 8 pm in Gort Public Library...
TAXI TEHRAN.
All welcome
Brave Iranian filmmaker offers fare look at Tehran.
A timely reminder that a country is not its regime but its people, this
daring cinematic project follows dissident Iranian filmmaker Jafar
Panahi as he drives around Tehran in a taxi. In real life, Panahi faces a
state-ordered, 20-year ban on filmmaking, and he seems to be trying out
a second career as a cabbie. He’s not very good, as several of his
fares point out, being a lousy driver with no sense of direction.
